This year was quite a roller coaster year for me. I had my highest and lowest moments.

This year i've seen the best of myself and a few bad side. i've accomplished quite alot and it feels really good. Deep down i know next year wont be easy, but still, lets pray we can get through it and come out a better person !

Got a pleasant surprise this morning when a huge 'giant' shuttle bus came to pick us up instead of the normal 'petite' one, the seats are wayy much comfortable and i managed to take a quick morning nap :) followed by a near heart attack when mr chan decided to give us a chemistry test ! after that we get to deal with bacteria that can cause food poisoning and all the procedures that come with the experiment. its nothing exciting really but the whole ' disinfect the table' 'only open the petri dish to 25degree' 'faster close the petri dish,dont let other bacteria go in !' 'wash your hands before leaving the lab!' made the experiment very exciting ! for me lah haha

Anyway last few weeks have been a pretty productive one. I ditched evening naps ! yay ! *proud* i have time for homework, revision, procrastinate a little, entertain jasper a little, watched tv a little and get 8 hours of sleep. Oh, not forgetting i went for a 3km charity walkathon, learned a few beats on the drum, and did a mini mid-autumn festival party in the garden. pats back

now i shall brace myself for extreme nerding and massive munching for tests, saturday classes and trials.

would like to wish beloved friends who are still not done with malaysian education system

bro planned to take us to Semenyih to hike Broga Hill, unfortunately the weather was really unforgiving. It has been raining for days, and i've been curl up in bed for days too, reading. When i'm not in bed, i'll be up staring at the computer screen watching movies. I desperately need some sunshine !!!

Anyway, during those rainy days, i watched this awesome movie The Legend of 1900. Music lovers or particularly jazz lovers will love this movie. In short its about a very talented pianist who was found on a ship when he was a baby and have since never ever set foot on land. His story was told by a friend of his, Max who plays the trumpet. Obviously i'm not good at explaining, go google if you are interested. highly recommended movie.

there will be a solar eclipse tomorrow, Malaysia time 8.30am till 9.45 am
also
somebody predicted a tsunami will happen tomorrow

there's always a myth about eclipse and natural disasters, particularly earthquakes
some people believe the solar eclipse radiates negative energy and stuff and that somehow leads to an earthquake its physics ughh
not sure how true is that though
so far there's only 2 occasions where an earthquake happens on the same day of a solar eclipse
so myth or truth ??

i would like to think its a myth because if its a truth it makes the universe sounds sooo scary

oh right and last monday was moon day !!!

and i believe the Americans started planning that like erm 50 years ago ?

i would love to know who's idea was that :)

and to my horror, i've forgotten everything miss law taught for sem 2

and i miss being nerdy hahaha

we laugh, we sing, we won !!!

just came back from camp yesterday with two black bags under my eyes and one gold medal.
we were the champs for the secondary group category of the 5th inter-dharma school hymn singing competition !!! i'm not going to blog about it , wanna know the details, go read xeyiing's blog, she blogged on the 2-day event and our beloved vocal teacher.

i'm really happy we won, that sum up my last year of participation perfectly.
credits goes to our vocal teacher/make-up artist/joker/image consultant, he really is that brilliant! hahaha

during the competition, our pianist asked us when did we started going to nalanda.
i've never really counted that and xeyiing told him this year is the 5th year already.
that got me thinking, 5 years of friendship, we've really gone through alot.
camps, stay-ins, outings, wesak celebration etc etc
i'm sure some of us always have difficulties explaining to our school friends why we cant join them for outings on sundays and on the 31st of december for reasons only we understand.
some jokes will bring laughter only when it is shared among us
we sing along to some songs with melody only familiar among us
we use terms that brings certain meaning only known among us

although we only see each other once a week, i cherish this friendship dearly.

alright, i'm having my semester break !!! wohoo first sem done :)
went all the way to cheras to play badminton today, the evil girl made me run around the court and now i'm having muscle ache

on the way there we past-by my beloved primary school, soo nostalgic. there's some construction going on, i hope they did something to those toilets. when i was in standard 1, i went to the toilet on my first day and i never go into the toilet after that day. NEVER EVER. it was really disgusting, you can smell the stench a few classrooms away and there's 'door gift', one pile of poop right in front of you after you push open those crucible doors. i still remember pushing open every door on that day until the last crucible, thankbuddha there's no poop. that 'experience' still stick with me after 10 years !!!
try and imagine how bad it was


earlier in the week, i went on a movie marathon, did furniture hunting, ate cendol on a hot afternoon, went groceries shopping at MYDIN subang they have almost everything there, name it and you'll get it i love that place, i can spend a whole day there. hee :) went to the hush puppies warehouse sales and that's pretty much all. ohh forget to mention the wed pasar malam trip was really entertaining to my tummy hahaha

4 days camp coming up and a movie date with a belated birthday girl
iceskating trip and zoo trip still pending ...

my soul is tired, my eyes are tired, but my mind wont stop spinning
when i start keeping my books, suddenly something come into mind and i have to start flipping those books and notes for answers.


when i close my eyes and try to sleep, my mind goes on a self-mind mapping session starting with isomers, reactions with alkane, then alkene, then i'll forget something and back to the books again.
DAMN IT

one more paper and i'm done. i guess that's why my mind wont want to stop working or perhaps its me ?
one last chance to get an A
one last chance to make rm 180 worth it
that is why college exams are so stressful
you PAY for the papers and they aren't cheap ughh

The next time Mars may come this close is in 2287. Due to the way Jupiter's gravity tugs on Mars and perturbs its orbit, astronomers can only be certain that Mars has not come this close to Earth in the Last 5,000 years, but it may be as long as 60,000 years before it happens again.

The encounter will culminate on August 27th when Mars comes to within 34,649,589 miles of Earth and will be (next to the moon) the brightest object in the night sky. It will attain a magnitude of - 2.9 and will appear 25.11 arc seconds wide. At a modest 75-power magnification MARS WILL LOOK AS LARGE AS THE MOON TO THE NAKED EYE.

Mars will be easy to spot. At the beginning of August it will rise in the east at 10p.m. and reach its azimuth at about 3 a.m.By the end of August when the two planets are closest , Mars will rise at nightfall and reach its highest point in the sky at 12:30a.m. That's pretty convenient to see something that no human being has seen in recorded history. So, mark your calendar at the beginning of August to see Mars grow progressively brighter and brighter throughout the month.

its may already, almost half of 2009 is now in the memory corner of my brain
Wesak observance ended today, very tiring, i cant feel my legs after the procession yesterday night. In the afternoon it was extremely hot, i secretly prayed it will rain in the evening but the weather turned out just fine, very windy and the moon was soo bright. It was nice to catch up with all those special people, laughing at silly jokes, drinking soybean in the field :)

This morning i received a sms from yeechen, saying the jpa results will be out by 3pm. No, i never scream nor did i jump out of bed.....i went back to sleep hahaaha

Went to college after late breakfast, alone. The twin sister decided to sleep in with a lame excuse ' i need to bath jasper later larh...' Went to bug mr chan, the chemistry lecturer about bonds with the gang. We spent about 2 hours inside his office asking this and that, nodding most of the time. But honestly, after 1 and a half hour inside there, my soul went somewhere else.

Soo came home around 6, went on to the jpa website and couldn't find the link to check the results, i think those nervous students crashed the site. Many students must have called, tooo bad no one is going to pick up the phone. 5pm, office hour over. perhaps that's why they changed the time from 3 pm to 5 pm? smart. anyway i'm checking tomorrow, its insane how many hundred people is trying to log into that page the number of visitors go up by 100 every 3 seconds

hello !!!
I WENT TO LEE HOM'S CONCERT
AND
IT WAS AWESOME !!!

can't really see his face though
but the sound system was great
the stage visuals was great
the crowd was great
the weather was great
basically everything was great larh
we got really really high towards the end of the concert
everybody stood up and sing along waving those glow-in-the-dark stick
lee hom stood on the grand piano and sang !!!


the concert lasted for 3 hours, he played the piano, the guitar and the violin
he sang 28 songs. i just realised that after reading the article about his concert in The Star
but that article doesn't do any justice to his performance that night
the reporter make it sounds like some concert you know just SOME CONCERT
it's lee hom's concert okay !!!
trust me it's just wayyyy better than what it sounds like in that article

we went home, bathed and nobody can recall what was the last song he sang hahah
yunhui !!! its 放开你的心 !!!

yunhui came and stayed for 3 nights

the first night we ordered mc Donald's delivery
we counted down to the concert and practised singing lee hom's song without knowing they actually show the lyrics of the songs hahaha but it was fun and she got a very sexy voice hehe

So that's about all. Lee hom fever over, now its exam fever. Currently our favourite hang out place is the college's library
i'm having a 2 weeks study break, then its the real exam

they can't find a suitable place to stay and the hostel is sooooo expensive!!!!
they pay rm 900 every month for the little room
so after looking around at some condo's
they decided my house is the most suitable place to stay
but they haven't come and have a look yet hahaha
the first thing they have to get used to is the late late sleeping time
sarawak people sleep at 10.30 !!! ahh but yunhui is getting used to it already hehehe right ??
i find people from sarawak very very friendly and they speak mandarin with the exact pronunciation as in han yu pin yin
ohhh and 1 last thing
they have the coolest highschool EVER for me lar
you know whaat
their highschool is facing the sea !!!!!!!

SOLAR ECLIPSE very fascinating and i almost go blind

i read this article on my way back to my hometown about the solar eclipse
it says it is inauspicious and during the eclipse the power of negative energy increases 1000 times as compared to other times

precautions : everyday activities including sleeping , EATING , travelling bla bla bla should be avoided during that period do not view the eclipse directly

er correction i read that article aloud in the car
my mum : ' you better dont view the eclipse , see what they say !! '

so on that day itself , all of us was chilling in the one and only air-conditioned room in my grandmother's house

it was around 3 in the afternoon
we just came back from visiting
the weather is burning hot
and
everyone is sleepy

somebody : ' eiii cannot sleep ar ! '
somebody : ' im very tired ar ! '
my cousin : ' shhhh ' ting ting ting ting ting

well after 4 days in college i've come out with 2 must have when you go to college
1. super thick sweater * note. sweater not jacket
2. tons and tons of snack


right, my timetable is real hectic. classes stretch from morning at 8 till 2 sometimes till 5 in the evening, imagine that... to make things worse i don't get lunch breaks darn darn darn i'm still getting use to this kind of lifestyle. praying hard we will get better timetable in the 2nd semester

anyway wednesday is officially our 'picnic day', mainly because classes end at 5 and we do not get to eat lunch So we 'picnic' before malaysian studies class. A bunch of us passing snacks and hot milo around yup hot milo with around 100 people staring at us. It was fun though.


lecturers started teaching on tuesday, classes were okay. i have real cool lecturers

I Found New Interest In BIOLOGY !!!
biology is interesting can't believe i said biology is interesting and i cant wait to go into those labs after CNY .
practical practical haha i have to say that twice. Be prepared for some drama !!!

My hair is still black, got my phone already and I'm starting COLLEGE on the 5th !!! yay yay yay

went for orientation and guess what ?

me : sorry ??

me : you want to take the lift ??

me : ohh that must be my sister , we are twins .
him : * looked confused * ahh both of you look alike

me : haha, nice to meet you

him : * still looking confused * nice to meet you too

I bet by monday he will have to go through that all over again when my sister and i get into different classes. Ohh and his name is Abu Bakar * according to my sis *

Second stop : my new year resolution. Last year's resolution list is still with my English teacher, i think i only achieved 4 out of the long long list. So this year i'll be listing out only 5 resolutions.
